Neurological hammer Taylor MDF 505 was designed by occupational physician Johna Madisona Taylora w 1888 roku. It is also called 'tomahawk' because of its shape. Neurological hammers is used for examination of deep tendon reflexes. Neurological hammers assist in the detection of irregularities in the central and peripheral nervous system. MDF Instrument has modified Taylor`s hammer by increasing its ergonomics and range of use.

Head of neurological hammer

Head of the hammer is made form thermoplastic rubber and doesn`t contain latex. Soft material and rounded tip of the head allows for its precise use during examination. Hammer can also be used to percuss the chest and abdomen.

Handle of neurological hammer

Well balanced handle is made from zinc alloy and allows for control of the strike strength.
